Reaching Up

- The Centrality Of Jesus Christ
Serving Jesus Christ is why we exist, and what we are striving to do. Jesus Christ is to be the center in our lives and our church. Our relationship to Him should be marked by growth.
(John 15:5-8; II Corinthians 4:5; Col. 1:15-20)

- The Power Of Prayer
It is our desire to give prayer a high priority in all that we do. Prayer is te means by which we seek God for direction and power.
(Colossians 4:2-3; I Thess. 5:17)

- A Lifestyle Of Worship
All that we do is aimed at glorifying, praising the Lord.
(Psalm 150; I Peter 2:4-5,9)

- Godly Leadership Is Our Desire
We desire to see the church led by Spiritual people who have been discerned and affirmed by the membership. Our council meetings are open for all in our congregation to attend. We don't want to be leaders seperated from the congregation.
(I Tim. 3:1-10; Titus 1:6-9)

- Blended Worship Is Our Style
We worship God through music that is a mixture of traditional and contemporary.
(Psalm 150; Eph. 5:18-20)

Reaching In

- The Authority Of The Bible
At North peace MB Church, the Bible is central to ALL of our instruction and practice.
(Psalm 119:105, 160; II Tim. 3:16-17; II Peter 1:19-21)

- An Environment Of Grace
Accepting people where they are at, and pointing them to Jesus, the life-changer.
(I John 4:19-21; I Cor. 13)

- A Mobilized Lay Ministry
All of us are ministers, gifted by God and using those gifts to glorify God, build up the body, and point others to Jesus is so important.
(I Cor. 3:5-11; I Cor. 12)

- The Importance Of Care Groups
True caring for each other takes place in small groups, and so we desire for all those attending North Peace MB to be part of a care group.
(Acts 2:42-47; Romans 12:9-21)

- The Importance Of Church Membership
Becoming a member shows that one is a member of the team, ready to get involved and serve the Lord actively as part of this body. Members are actively involved in the decision making of our church.
(Gal. 6:1-2; I Cor. 12:12-27)

- The Strengthening Of the Family
The family is a cornerstone of society, and important to Jesus. We will do all we can to lift up, encourage and train families to become stronger.
(I Tim. 3:4-5; Eph. 5:22-6:4)

- Being Relevant Matters
At North Peace MB we are committed to change as the Lord directs us, in order to reach the culture of our day, without compromising the Gospel.
(I Cor. 9:19-23; 10:33b)

- A Commitment To Be A Safe Place
We are committed to do all that we can to have a church that is a safe place for people to come to, without fear of molestation, mistreatment, abuse physically, but also where our teaching theology is also correct.

- Fellowship Is Emphasized
We want to be a family here at North Peace MB, and so each month we aim to have activities that bring us together, that helps us to love each other more.

- Our Programming Is Intentional
We plan and carry out programs that are not just programs, but that meet real needs of people.
(2 Tim. 4:2; Titus 2:11-15)

- Our Building Is User-Friendly
Our aim is to be a church where the physically disabled can come, and where signage and informed people make it easy to get around.

Reaching Out

- The Priority Of Reaching Lost People
Introducing people to Jesus Christ and descipling them to Christian Maturity is our goal.
(Romans 1:16-17; II Cor. 5:17-21; I Tim. 2:1-4)

- An Environment Of Grace
Accepting people where they are at, and pointing them to Jesus, the life-changer.

- The Privilage Of Servanthood
At North Peace MB we aim at serving people, as Jesus did. We do not desire to be about power, but about service. We are committed to caring for physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of those in our body, and those in the community as we have opportunity.

- The Importance Of Care Groups
True caring for each other takes place in small groups, and so we desire all those attending North Peace MB to be part of a care group.

- Missions Is Vital
We are committed to sharing the gospel both locally and around the world. We encourage and call out individuals and couples to serve the Lord in missions.
(Acts 1:8; Matt. 28:19-20)

- Our Programming Is Intentional
We plan and carry out programs that are not just programs, but that meet real needs of people.

- Newcomers Are Welcome
Our aim is to make your first, second, third, etc. visits at North Peace MB be good experiences. We welcome you and trust you will stay.

- Our Building Is User-Friendly
Our aim is to be a church where the physically disabled can come, and where signage and informed people make it easy to get around.

Reaching Up

- A Praying Church
Seeing more and more the importance of bringing everything to God as a body, and teaching people to begin everything with prayer, recognizing their dependance on God. We trust in 5 years, to have prayer meetings 3 times a week with a combined attendance of 100 weekly.

- A Worshipping Church
An intensional calling out of gifted musicians and drama people, and training of them to serve the Lord with their gifts. We will need more teams as the Lord adds to our body.

Reaching In

- A Bible Based Church
To increasingly be a church that studies God's Word individually and corporately, and where the Bible is our guide in our decision making. Bible Conferences, seminars etc. Courses on how to read the Bible are critical.

- A Growing Church
Our desire is to see revival taking place in the hearts of people in our congregation (growing qualitively - church health) and others regularly coming to Christ (quantitive growth).

- A Caring Church
It is our desire in 5 years to 40 active groups functioning within our body, learning to love the Lord and each other more.

- A Multi-Use Church
To find as many ways to use our building to present Christ to our church and community in practical ways.

- A Trained Church
To by 2007, to have training courses available for church workers such as ushers, S.S. teachers, club workers, elders etc.

- A Multiplying Church
In 5 years to have 1 satellite daughter church in the Fort St John area.

- A Fellowshipping Church
A commitment to find creative ways each year to bring the body together.

- A Discipling Church
It is our intention to stress the discipleship of men and women in our church, through training and through accountability groups.

- An Adapting Church
It is our desire to add new ministries to meet the needs of people that come to our church, and needs that are in the community.

- A Family Church
The Fort St John area has many broken homes. We need to be a church that stresses the importance of the family, but that also provides ministries to all levels of family life: nursery, children's, youth, adult, couples, singles, & seniors.

- A Reading Church
To increase the size, but most importantly, the use of our library and to find ways to encourage reading among our members and attenders, especially in the areas of non-fiction or theological, devotional, and practical Christian stdies.

Reaching Out

- A Growing Church
Our desire is to see revival taking place in the hearts of people in our congregation (growing qualitively - church health) and others regularly coming to Christ (quantitive growth).

- A Caring Church
It is our desire in 5 years to 40 active groups functioning within our body, learning to love the Lord and each other more.

- A Serving Church
To institute a gift discernment process that will discover the gifts of all those attending, and ministry areas in which to use them.

- A Multi-Use Church
To find as many ways to use our building to present Christ to our church and community in practical ways.

- A Community Church
To become more and more a church that is there for our community, providing Christian help in areas of: marriage, family, divorce, grieving, cancer support, a relationship with Christ etc.

- A Helping Church
In 5 years, to have established at least 1 ministry not offered in our community, to those with needs.

- A Sending Church
In 10 years, to be a church that is yearly sending out 2 teams to help missionaries in the field, and calling out at least one couple every 3 years.

- A Multiplying Church
In 5 years to have 1 satellite daughter church in the Fort St John area.

- An Adapting Church
It is our desire to add new ministries to meet the needs of people that come to our church, and needs that are in the community.

- A Welcoming Church
To become a church that those who attend feel comfortable attending, because they are welcomed and made to feel at home.

- A Sacrificing Church
To become a church that gives sacrificially of its time, finances, gifts to God for the building up of others.
