Aaron serves with Athletes in Action (AIA) as part of a worldwide team that mentors and
disciples professional and university athletes across 40 countries. He grew up in Fort St.
John as an avid hockey and soccer player. The first time he was acquainted with AIA was
in 2010 when he was a student at the University of Alberta. The organization really helped
him grow in his faith and allowed him to see how God was working in his own life, but also
the lives of athletes around the world. Aaron has now been on staff in full time ministry
with AIA since 2015. He and his wife Megan currently live in Edmonton, AB. They have
been married since 2017. Aaron represents AIA at the University of Alberta, MacEwan
University and The King's University, all in Edmonton, Alberta. He also leads annual sports
ministry trips that send university athletes on short-term projects overseas. Aaron and his
team have had a partnership with Ethiopia for the last 3 years. Currently, his team is
planning sports missions work in Panama, Mexico, Guatemala and a closed region of SE
Asia. Aaron also serves as an assistant chaplain with Edmonton’s professional soccer
team, FC Edmonton.
Aaron’s day-to-day job includes preparing and hosting Bible studies for Kings athletes,
mentoring various athletes from U of A and MacEwan University, and working alongside
international AIA staff in various countries to create partnerships in sharing the gospel
through sport.
